A NEW PRINCIPAL FOR ÉCOLE SAINTE-CATHERINE

Saint-Paul, June 24, 2020 — Conseil scolaire Centre-Est announces the appointment of Kathiana Marc as Principal of École Ste-Catherine of Lac La Biche. Ms. Marc has been teaching at Ste-Catherine since September 2018.

After teaching in Quebec for over ten years, Ms. Marc decided to pursue her career in Alberta and she taught in southern Alberta for a year before joining CSCE. After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Social Work, she completed a Bachelor of Preschool and Elementary Education from Université Laurentienne. Since then, she has started a Masters in Education from Université du Québec à Montréal.

Since her integration into Ste-Catherine, Ms. Marc has shown initiative and creativity as she set up school projects and events. Among other things, Ms. Marc was the one who organized the interprovincial trip to Quebec for her grades 5 and 6 students.

Since her arrival in Lac La Biche, Ms. Marc has participated in various levels of community life in the region. A well-informed teacher, Kathiana Marc intends to put all of her experience, knowledge and skills to good use in the exercise of her responsibilities as director of the Ste-Catherine school. Superintendent Dolorèse Nolette is delighted to welcome Kathiana to the CSCE leadership team.
