Catholic Education Sunday 2023 : Courage to Lead

November 5, 2023 marks Catholic Education Sunday, and this year the province’s Catholic bishops are calling for courage.

The Catholic Bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories have taken inspiration from Joshua and chosen “Courage to Lead” as the theme for Catholic Education Week 2023.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9.

“Parents, educators, administrators, trustees, and clergy are all invited to engage their responsibility of leadership to strengthen and promote Catholic education, through which we lead the children entrusted to our care to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.” – Catholic Bishops of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
