School Board Elections-Nomination Period
Press release : School Board Elections 2021-Opening of the Nomination Period
Saint-Paul, January 11, 2021
The nomination period for the school board elections, which will take place in the fall of 2021, is officially open at the Conseil scolaire Centre-Est.
Nominations for the five (5) board trustee positions to be filled, namely on Catholic trustee for each of the following regions : St-Paul, Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Plamondon-Lac La Biche as well as one public trustee representing all the CSCE, will be accepted until September 20, 2021, at noon.
School board elections will take place on October 18, 2021.
Completed applications are accepted by Virginie Dallaire, returning officer, or Isabelle Poulin, deputy returning officer, at the central office of the Conseil scolaire Centre-Est, during business hours.
Numerous changes to the regulations governing school board elections (Local Authorities Election Act and the Education Act) have been made since the last school election, in particular with regard to the financing of electoral campaigns.
