That is the reason why we implemented a computer purchase program for our employees. The school board is proud to offer its employees the opportunity to purchase APPLE computers and equipment at a lower price. Moreover, they can pay in installments with a no-interest loan, up to a maximum of two school years.[\/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion][vc_tta_section title=”Am I eligible to the purchase program?” tab_id=”1504557520191-f32643b6-e60d”][vc_column_text]This annual program is available to all the certified staff (continuous contract) and support staff (one year contract) who have been working for CSCE for over two years.\u00a0Certified employees, with a probationary or non-permanent contract, and support staff who have a 10 months employment contract, can submit a request to Human Resources, but decisions will be taken on a case by case basis, in conjunction with the IT department.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Will I receive a confirmation email once my request is approved? ” tab_id=”1504557519791-f566b312-cd30″][vc_column_text]Yes. Once you have received your confirmation email and if you have been approved, you can make your purchase directly on the Apple website by following the instructions below.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What types of equipment are eligible to the purchase program? ” tab_id=”1504557519325-a4f6c0a7-98c9″][vc_column_text]Computers, tablets and accessories (iMac, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook pro, Mac pro, iPad, iPad mini, etc.) are eligible. You can choose the model and the configuration that you wish (ie: iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Macbook).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What is the procedure to follow to purchase computer equipment?” tab_id=”1504557461526-eb0468bf-0639″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

  1. Go to the Apple website: https:\/\/www.apple.com\/ca\/mac\/<\/li>\n
  2. Choose the model that you would like to purchase and click on “Buy”.<\/li>\n
  3. Follow the onscreen steps.<\/li>\n
  4. Once done, click on “Add to Bag”.<\/li>\n
  5. During this step, take a screenshot (Control\u00a0+\u00a0Shift +\u00a04) of what you chose AND email it to Jacques Nkogo or to the IT department – support@centreest.ca.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All requests MUST be sent to our Administrator of Information Systems, Jacques Nkogo. \u2013 jnkogo@centreest.ca<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”How do I pay my purchase in several installments?” tab_id=”1504557460834-d1c06dc9-a93e”][vc_column_text]Depending on the amount of your purchase, the monies will be deducted from your pay until completely reimbursed. The HR department, in conjunction with IT and Accounting, will do the necessary follow-ups to make these payroll deductions possible for you. The first installment will be applied on the first pay following you signing the acknowledgement of debt form.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Is it true that I can get a rebate if I buy my computer via the school board’s purchase program?” tab_id=”1504557459502-caa3a132-2b01″][vc_column_text]It is possible. If you can prove that your computer will be used for educational purposes (in the classroom), you could be eligible to a $300 rebate on the purchase price.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”If I make the decision to leave the school board, what will happen with the money that I owe?” tab_id=”1504557423396-cd3bd314-42e7″][vc_column_text]If you make the decision to leave the employment of CSCE, upon reception of your resignation letter, we will ask you to pay the balance owing.
